The photographic exhibition ri-Scatto, Oltre Lo Sguardo, (Redemption Beyond The Gaze) organised by the African Museum and the African Film Festival of Verona, aims to tell the story of everyday life in Africa in its different aspects. a kaleidoscope of images at the centre of which the daily life with its dignity emerges, the work and the art of representing it, the aesthetic taste that permeates everything.

An exhibition of around 300 photographs selected from thousands by an ordinary traveller, Alberto Frigoli, who has crossed the continent from the 1970s to the present day, seeking to capture in his shots the beauty of spontaneous gestures, to discover an Africa lived without borders and without time.

The chosen photographs focus on the activities in the markets, the art of shop and hotel signs and in general, the vitality of the streets and squares in a colourful puzzle of images.

The photographs are printed on Tonki, recycled cardboard squares, which, placed side by side, allow the visitor to immerse himself in the variety of this story.

Of the thousands of kilometres travelled by Frigoli, only the memory of beautiful things remains and transpires from his shots, as he says.

The entrance is submitted to the payment of a ticket.
